North Charleston Police detain bank robbery suspect

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — Detectives with the North Charleston Police Department are interviewing the man suspected of robbing South State Bank on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston.

According to Charleston County Dispatch, the call came in at 9:04 a.m.on Tuesday morning. According to North Charleston Police, a man walked inside the bank, demanded money, and left with an unknown amount of money.

The suspect has been detained and is being interviewed by detectives.

There were no injuries during the robbery.
