Man attempts to rob North Charleston bank; leaves empty-handed

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — The North Charleston Police Department responded to an attempted robbery Friday afternoon.

Police spokesman Spencer Pryor says just before 4 p.m. on September 23, a man entered the Sun Trust Bank on Dorchester Road attempting to shove a bag under the teller glass demanding money.  When the bag couldn’t

We’re told when the bag couldn’t fit under the glass, the suspect turned and left the bank.

No weapon was shown during the incident and no one injured, according to a news release. Proyer adds no money taken.
