WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCBD) — The West Ashley Farmers Market, produced by the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs, is scheduled to open on Wednesday, September 21.
Participating local vendors will be on site from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Ackerman Park at 55 Sycamore Avenue every Wednesday through October 26.
Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg is expected to speak at 6:00 p.m. to kick off the new farmers market. Entertainment will be provided by a local band, The Lowhills. The opening of the Farmers Market was originally scheduled to take place on September 14, but was rescheduled due to severe weather.
