GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) – Former Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd has agreed to do community service and pay restitution following a shoving incident at a bar in Greenville earlier this summer.

Media outlets reported a judge said Boyd’s assault and battery charge would be dismissed when he completes 40 hours of community service, makes restitution and has six months of good behavior. The victim is seeking $5,000 in medical bills but the amount is being negotiated.

The 25-year-old Boyd was arrested earlier this month for an incident outside a Greenville bar in July. The doorman said Boyd shoved him when Boyd was told he could not enter the club until some other patrons left because of crowded conditions inside.

Boyd said Wednesday he was accountable for his actions and should have just walked away.
