MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCBD) — The Moncks Corner Police Department arrested the person responsible for a shooting near the Plantation Apts, Sunday night.
Terrell Jonta Williams, 21, was arrested and charged with unlawfully carrying a handgun, possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, driving under suspension second offense and discharging a weapon in Town Limites. Bond was set at a totaled $16,465.
Moncks Corner Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Old Hwy 52 near the Plantation Apts on Sunday. We’re told officers contacted the victim who reported that an ongoing “facebook argument” resulted in a physical altercation between him and Williams. The victim reported several other males grabbed him and pulled him off Williams who then removed a modified AK47 (converted to pistol grip) from the vehicle he was traveling in and fired a shot that struck the victim’s car tire, according to a news release.
Moncks Corner Police located the vehicle and apprehended Williams and Oneal Jarrad Parker , 23, who had outstanding bench warrants for failure to appear. Bond was set at $5,000.
The weapon was recovered near the center console and secured.
Both Williams and Parker were transported, booked, and lodged into the HIll-Finklea Detention Center.
