Man killed in North Charleston shooting identified

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)- The Charleston County Deputy Coroner has identified the person who was fatally shot in North Charleston.

Police officers responded to a call at around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday in the 3000 block area of Terry Drive.

When officers arrived, they found Edward Jones, 39, of North Charleston, lying on the ground and suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to MUSC where he later died.

Authorities say that several men were seen in front of the residence where the shooting occurred.

Police are still investigating the crime and looking for those men.
