34-year-old man killed in downtown Charleston shooting

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — The Charleston County Coroner’s Office released the identity of the person killed following a shooting in downtown Charleston, Wednesday evening.

The Charleston Police Department and Charleston County EMS responded to Columbus and Hanover Streets on September 14 at around 10:45 p.m.

Stephen Grant, 34, of Charleston was found suffering from a gunshot wound.  Medics transported him to the Medical University of South Carolina where he later died.

Authorities are still working to identify a suspect and motive.
