Team to spray for mosquitoes in southern Berkeley County

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C (WCBD) —The Berkeley County Mosquito Abatement Team will spray for mosquitoes in Southern Berkeley County on Wednesday, September 14.

Officials say the spraying is in response to a large salt-marsh mosquito hatch-off.

We’re told in order to avoid children departing for school, the aerial application on Wednesday will be made from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. The specific areas being sprayed include over Daniel Island, Thomas Island, the Clouter Creek and Yellow House Dredge Disposal Sites, and the areas adjacent to Clements Ferry Road.

If unfavorable weather conditions exist on Wednesday, the applications will be made on Saturday, September 17th from 7 – 9 a.m.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Berkeley County Mosquito Abatement at (843) 719-4646.
