WILLIAIMSBURG, S.C. (WCBD) –The Williamsburg County Sheriff has arrested a 29-year-old from Hemingway on several charges.
Inife Q. Cohen has been charged with one count of Burglary Second Degree to include Petit or Simple Larceny value less than $2,000.
On Friday, September 9 at approximately at 2:00 p.m., Cohen voluntarily turned himself into authorities at the South Carolina Probation Parole and Pardon Services in Georgetown.
Cohen was wanted in connection to a burglary incident that occurred Wednesday, September 7 at 104 Black Berry Road in Johnsonville. According to Investigators, a lead was developed based on a tip called into the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office. Cohen was captured on video surveillance in the area during the time of the burglary.
Cohen also faces pending burglary charges with Florence County Sheriff’s Office.
Cohen appeared before a Williamsburg County Magistrate for an explanation of the charges against him. One count of Burglary Second Degree, bond was set at $5,000. One count of Petit Larceny, bond was set at $5000. Cohen will remain at the Williamsburg County Detention Center until bond is posted.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
