CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD)–Lowcountry firefighters honored those killed on September 11th by walking the Arthur Ravenel Bridge in silence. The event took place on the 15th anniversary of the terror attack.
Firefighters wore their gear during the walk to symbolize brotherhood. Each person wore a tag with a name of one of the victims who died in the line of duty.
There was a special father son duo who participated in the event. Navy Petty Officer, Andrew Morrell flew 3,000 miles to walk the bridge alongside his father, Jim Morrell. Morell is a City of Goose Creek Firefighter.
