DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — Friday was business as usual for most people in Dorchester County.
Heavy rain in the morning made roads wet and filled up ditches, but as the day continued there was very little indication of a Tropical Storm overhead.
Families were out shopping; making stops at the bank; and getting haircuts at local salons.
In the afternoon, crews responded to a traffic lights outage on Hwy 78 at Deming Way. There was also a report of flooding at Exit 77 on I-95 S.
The Dorchester County Citizen Call Center is open and may be reached at 843-832-0393 or 843-563-0393. Staff is prepared to take calls regarding Tropical Storm Hermine throughout the day and direct citizens to the appropriate resources to address their needs. As always, dial 911 in the event of an emergency.
The county recommends residents refer to their site for further information on the storm and clean up.
