GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCBD) — Four people are behind bars tonight for the death of a 19 year old man in Goose Creek. It happened at a house party in the Cherry Hill subdivision in Berkeley County back on August 21st.

“It makes the community feel a little safer now.” Sarah Allen lives just down the street from where 19 year old Kyle Shirlin was shot and killed.
She was really glad to hear that 4 men are now behind bars. “I think it’s great. Obviously the police worked very hard and very fast to follow the leads. I think it’s great.”
According to the affidavits, a witness told police that Jamal White was involved in the murder. Once police contacted White, he admitted to being there.
He also gave numerous other details. White said Kyle Shirlin showed a mason jar that had marijuana in it to gain entrance to the party. He said Shirlin was attempting to a sell the marijuana.
White told police that he noticed Riccardo Jenkins had a gun. He saw him harassing Shirlin continuously. White said he then noticed people running, and walked over to see Kyle Shirlin on the ground after he was shot. White took a photo of Shirlin with his cell phone.
Once in the car, White said Jenkins confessed to shooting Shirlin.
Goose Creek police anticipates arresting additional suspects as well as filing additional charges against these suspects.
Jamal White has already been through bond court. The other three suspects are scheduled to go through bond court tonight at 6:30.
