Georgetown man sentenced to life in prison for armed robbery

CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) – A man from Georgetown County was sentenced to life in prison without parole after he was convicted of  armed robbery, the Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office announced Thursday.

The trial for Stanley D. Moulrie, 49, began Monday at the Georgetown County Judicial Center. Judge D. Craig Brown presided over the case.

The press release says Moulrie’s charge stemmed from a robbery committed Jan. 20, 2015 at the Shoe Show in Georgetown.

Georgetown police investigated the incident and arrested Moulrie 11 days later.
