GREENWOOD, S.C. (WSPA) – One man faces domestic violence charges and assault and battery charges after he threatened and slapped a woman, according to the Greenwood Police Department.
29-year-old Gregory Lamar Sibert Jr. slapped his girlfriend, while she was holding their child, according to the incident report.
The incident happened at about 3:30 a.m. on August 11th.
The report says that Sibert’s girlfriend and another woman he had been seeing found out that they were both dating Sibert.
According to the incident report, Sibert asked his girlfriend if he could come over and she said that he could.
When Sibert arrived at the house, both women were there, and Sibert said “I can already tell I’m gonna have to hit someone,” according to the report.
He walked up to his girlfriend, who had their child in her lap, and slapped her twice, the report says.
The report states that he then threatened to “blow her brains out,” and left the house.
Sibert has had two prior domestic violence convictions in the last 10 years.
