NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C .(WCBD) — Thursday morning was the kick off to the 2016 “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk.
A kick-off breakfast was held at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. The breakfast featured motivational speakers, cancer survivors and care takers, all there to get everyone excited for this year’s walk. Even News 2’s Carolyn Murray and Rob Fowler emceed.
Last year, 1,400 people participated in the walk and raised $120,000.
