Running 50 Miles for Carolina Children’s Charity

To celebrate his 50th birthday, Dave Moore decided he wanted to run 50 miles and do it all for charity.

Moore is a career firefighter and an assistant chief with the Old Fort Fire Department. A few years ago, he started raising money for Carolina Children’s Charity and is currently a board member.

On Saturday afternoon, Moore started off on a run that would take him about 13 hours. He ran 10 times back and forth across the Ravenel Bridge, totaling 50 miles. He started running at 3 PM Saturday and ended around 4:30 Sunday morning. The first 30 miles, he ran in full firefighter gear.

Along the way, Moore had friends and family to run with him and cheer him on.

All of the money he raised will go to Carolina Children’s Charity which helps kids right here in the Lowcountry. To support Dave’s cause click here: https://go.rallyup.com/50-miles-for-50-year
