MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCBD) – Despite the threat of a lawsuit, the Berkeley County school board is moving to invocation before its meetings.
The school board gave initial approval Tuesday night after dropping the use of The Lord’s Prayer earlier this year.
Since dropping prayer, the board has been using a moment of silence instead.
The invocation will allow memebers to share something “non-denominational” with the board.
A first reading passed Tuesday. There will be a second reading on August 23.
