Van slams into convenience store; cashier tossed 10 feet in air

COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — Two people are recovering after a minivan slammed into a convenience store on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Colleton Fire Rescue, the minivan drove through the front door of Grand Central Store on Tuesday, August 2 causing damage and hitting a cashier.

We’re told the cashier was thrown about 10 feet by the impact.

Medics transported the cashier to Trident Medical in Summerville while the van driver was transported to Colleton Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Cottageville Police is investigating the cause of the accident.
