LYMAN, SC (WSPA) – Lyman police say a shoplifting suspect dragged an officer before leading deputies on a chase into Cherokee County.

A short time later, her car was spotted by Spartanburg County Deputies who chased her northbound on I-85.

The suspect was then chased to Exit 90 in Gaffney where she crashed and was taken into custody.

The Lyman officer suffered minor injuries including bumps, scrapes, and bruises.

Marcy was arrested and is being treated for minor injuries at a hospital.

The officer who was injured was wearing a body camera.
