NCPD searching for suspect in deadly shooting

North Charleston, S.C (WCBD)- North Charleston Police continue their investigation on a fatal shooting incident that took place shortly before midnight Friday, July 29.

Detectives say, a Hispanic man and several others were outside the home of 2216 Rebecca St in North Charleston, when the suspect was walking in the roadway towards the group. The suspect shouted something towards the group and they shouted back.

Police say, the suspect decided to run away from the group in the opposite direction. As he was running away he fired his gun back at the group, striking the Hispanic man.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police gave News 2 a description of the suspect at the time of the shooting: Black male, 160 lbs, short cut hair, white or beige cargo shorts and a white tank top
