On Thursday, South Carolina State Representative Wendell Gilliard, and State Representative Chip Limehouse are expected to host a day of prayer.

The Day of Prayer will gather in two locations: Marion Square in downtown Charleston, and Huger in Berkeley County.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m.

This Day of Prayer appears to be scheduled to bring hope and unity in the wake of the recent shootings involving police officers.

Also happening Thursday is the Black Lives Matter Charleston branch meeting, and an NAACP meeting.
