DNR pulls alligator from same pond where body of woman was found near senior living center

CHARLESTON, S.C (WCBD) — The Department of Natural Resources tells News 2, on Friday they removed an alligator from that same pond near Brookdale Senior Living Center, where Bonnie Walker, 90, was found two days prior.

CPD Dive Team found Walker’s body, according to Charleston Police. DNR officials say it is not standard procedure to remove an alligator from a pond just because a body was found in it. The Charleston county corner will be making an announcement on Friday in the new details in this case.

Walker was missing for just three hours before her body was found Wednesday at Brookdale Senior Living Center.

Brookdale Senior Living Solutions is regulated by DHEC, and is under investigation at this time.
