Man on the run from 4 lowcountry law enforcement agencies now in custody

WCBD-BRANDONVARNER - They can't catch meBERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — A man who boasted about being wanted by several lowcountry law enforcement agencies is now in police custody.

According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, Brandon Varner was arrested on Friday, July 15. He’s currently being held at the Hill Finklea Detention Center.

Authorities say he was suspected of stealing a Yamaha Rhino from a home in the Windwood area. It has since been recovered.

Varner was wanted by Probation & Parole for a probation violation, by the Goose Creek Police Department for Trespassing, by the Moncks Corner Police Department for Shoplifting and by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office for charges related to the Rhino theft.

Officials say Varner could not have found without the many tips from the community.
