Charleston Police search for suspect in homicide on Rosemont Street

Charleston, S.C (WCBD)– Charleston Police are investigating a homicide on Rosemont Street in downtown Charleston.

It happened around 1:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2.

Family members called Charleston Police after finding another member of the family, 27 year old Gerald Lee Dilligard, dead inside the home.

Charleston Police say upon arrival they found Dilligard inside with wounds and fatal injuries to his body.

Police were on the scene for over 6 hours Saturday morning investigating the incident. According to the Charleston County Coroner, Dilligard died of blunt force trauma.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information. Call Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111.
