More than $11,000 worth of lawn equipment stolen from Sumter County

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) —The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in identifying the person responsible for stealing a utility trailer with more than $11,000 in lawn care equipment inside.TrailerStoleninSumterCounty

Authorities say on Thursday, June 30 at about 3:15 p.m., an African-American male driving a white Dodge pickup truck, pulled behind the Deluxe Inn on Hwy 15 North and stole the trailer and equipment.

We’re told the victim had purchased the equipment the day before.

Items taken include a 6×12 foot Trailmaker utility trailer valued at $1,253, a John Deere 60-inch commercial Z-track mower valued at $8,093; a Stihl FS90R grass trimmer valued at $319, a Stihl MS362C-M chain saw valued at $749, a Stihl HT101 pole saw valued at $663 and a Stihl BR350 backpack blower valued at $319.00. The total value of the items taken is $11, 396.
