BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — The preliminary hearing scheduled on July 1st for Michael Colucci, a well known Lowcountry business owner accused of killing his wife, has been rescheduled for Friday, July 15.
“The reason that I never asked Michael what happened to Sara was simple. I had concluded two years sooner the truth was not in him. There’s no need to ask someone that you were 99% sure is going to lie to you, and that’s when Michael has done,” James Moore, Sara’s father, said.
An affidavit says that on May 20, 2015, Berkeley County deputies found the victim outside a building in Summerville. Colucci initially told investigators his wife hanged herself with a garden hose.
He was arrested by SLED agents and booked just before noon Wednesday, May 4, 2016.
