10 people evaluated by EMS following incident at Summerville Publix

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) — Ten people were evaluated by EMS following an incident at Publix in Summerville.

Details are very limited but we’re told Summerville Fire & Rescue responded to the grocery store at 1575 Old Trolley Road on Wednesday, June 29 at 4:30 p.m.

According to Chief Richard Waring, IV, several people in the store started complaining about difficulty of breathing. The store was evacuated and has since reopen.

Fire crews are still working to determine the cause of the problem.
