NCPD investigating two overnight robberies

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — North Charleston Police Officers responded to a robbery at the Stop and Go Convenience Store in the 5800 block of Dorchester Road around 1:30 a.m. on Friday morning.

Two unidentified black men, armed with a hand gun entered the store with their faces covered and demanded money, according to the store clerk.

The clerks describes one man as tall, and the other, short.

About 30 minutes later, a man entered the Sunnoco Gas Station in the 5700 block of Rivers Ave. and stole about 30 packs of cigarettes.

The man was not carrying a weapon, and took off right away, according to North Charleston Police.

He is described as a Hispanic man in his thirties, wearing tan pants and an orange shirt.

No word on whether these two robberies are related.

North Charleston Police are investigating.
