Four new Zika cases in South Carolina

There are four new cases of the Zika virus in South Carolina.

These new cases bring the state’s total to five, with 10 patients still waiting on test results.

According to the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, all of these cases are travel related.

While Zika does not pose a risk to pubic health in South Carolina, it is important to be aware and see a doctor if you suspect infection.
