TOWNVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) — Oconee County deputies arrested a Seneca man accused of inappropriately touching minors and a woman who allegedly exposed herself at a swimming and recreation area.
Cynthia Lynn Winston, 38, and Gregory Matthew Pearson, 26, are each facing charges multiple charges
A deputy responded to Coneross Creek Road Thursday evening after reports of a male who had inappropriately touched minor females and a woman who exposed her breasts at Friendship Recreational Area near Townville, deputies said in a news release.
Dispatch informed the deputy that the individuals had left in a Chevrolet SUV and the deputy observed the vehicle matching the description near the incident location and initiated a traffic stop.
The deputy located Winston, the driver, and Pearson, a passenger, inside the vehicle.
Another deputy responded to the scene and spoke with witnesses at the scene who told them that the suspects engaged in sexual activity in view of children and that both made sexually oriented comments to minors nearby and that Pearson inappropriately touched two minor females, deputies said.
Winston also reportedly kissed a minor male on the back of the neck and a few moments later, Winston pulled down her bathing suit top, exposing her breasts, deputies say.
Winston and Pearson were arrested for public disorderly conduct and taken to the Oconee County Detention Center.
Winston also is charged with one count of indecent exposure, two counts of criminal solicitation of a minor and one count of third-degree assault and battery.
Pearson has been charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of criminal solicitation of a minor.
Winston and Pearson remained jailed Friday awaiting a bond hearing this afternoon.
