Authorities search for 36 year-old man responsible

WCBD-WANTEDCorey Fredrick KittRICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — The South Carolina Highway Patrol is searching for the man responsible for a deadly hit-and-run in Richland County.

Corey Fredrick Kitt, 36 is wanted for leaving the scene involving death, violation of habitual offender, and driving under suspension, third offense.

A 3-year old and a 1-year old were struck by a vehicle that authorities say was driven Kitt on Davis Road in Hopkins on Monday, June 13 at 4:30 p.m. He fled the scene after the incident. The 3-year-old sustained fatal injuries.

Kitt is described as an African-American man, standing at 5’10, weight 170 pounds.  He has face and neck tattoos and is known to frequent the Leesburg Road and Bluff Road areas of Hopkins in  Richland County.
