Man, 62, killed in ATV crash in Orangeburg County

EUTAWVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) — The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating following a deadly ATV crash in Orangeburg County.

Troopers say on Monday, June 6 at 9:15 p.m., the driver of an ATV, later identified as Ennie Griffin, 62, of Greenville, was traveling on Ferguson Landing Way when he ran off the road and struck a tree.

Officials say Griffin was not wearing a helmet nor seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office says Griffin died of a closed head injury due to the ATV collision.

Medics transported three other occupants to a local hospital to be treated for injuries. Their conditions are not known at this item.
