SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — The man who authorities say is responsible for a Memorial Day weekend shooting in Myrtle Beach is in police custody.
On Sunday, May 29, Myrtle Beach Police responded to the Holiday Sands Hotel North in response to a shooting. Police say Shaylan Charvoris Isaac, 21, of Pinewood shot someone and then fled the scene. James Dwyer, 18, was arrested and charged with attempted murder and possession of marijuana in connection to the incident.
Authorities in both Myrtle Beach and Sumter County had been searching for the 21-year-old since the shooting.
On Wednesday, June 1, a relative brought Isaac to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office where he was arrested without incident, according to Sumter County authorities.
He’s currently being held at the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center. Isaac was also charged with violating the terms of his parole. He was given a $50,000 surety bond for the violation of probation terms charge. In Myrtle Beach, Isaac is charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.
