An Orangeburg man has been charged with attempted murder after an occupied residence was shot at multiple times.
Darrin Harrison, 23, made his first court appearance on Wednesday to face charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a crime.
Orangeburg County Magistrate Rob Clariday granted a recommendation to deny bond on the Graham Street man’s attempted murder charge. Bond was set at $5,000 for the weapons charge.
On May 20 Orangeburg County Sheriff’s deputies were called to an Oates Street residence in Orangeburg where residents said a man got out of a white vehicle and began shooting at the home.
Four bullet holes were found in the front door of the residence after residents said they heard “four or five” shots fired.
No one was injured in the shooting.
Investigators located a white vehicle matching the description of the shooter’s vehicle on Whittaker Parkway. The vehicle had been abandoned after being wrecked.
