Charleston, SC (WCBD)- Pizza Hut announced that it would be taking steps to improve the quality of the food it serves.
These changes will included stopping usage of meats that include two types of preservatives. These preservatives are not deemed by the FDA as being unsafe for food use, but advocacy groups have said that they should not be consumed. Pizza Hut will be making these changes by the end of July.
In addition, Pizza Hut will eliminate chicken raised with antibiotics and cheeses with preservatives by March of 2017.
Pizza Hut has been making changes to its ingredients for the past year as a way to make their menu more natural.
