Currently, the town of Mount Pleasant is not approving any permits for building apartments or multi-family units.
Mount Pleasant is in the middle of a 180-day moratorium, but town council is meeting on Thursday to talk about the town’s growth management plan. At the meeting, possible new projects will be discussed as well as guidelines for heights of buildings in the town.
Also on the agenda, issues with short term rentals along with accessory dwelling units and multi-generational housing issues.
The special council meeting will happen at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26 in the Council Chambers located in the Municipal Complex, Building C, in Mount Pleasant.
