Georgetown deputies search for armed robbery suspect

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCBD) – The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office needs help finding an armed robbery suspect.

Deputies say the robbery happened Wednesday, May 25 at 3:15 a.m., at the Dollar General on North Fraser Street.

AR Dollar General Suspect2We’re told the suspect entered the store, showed a handgun, and demanded money from the employee. He then left the store and ran into the woods with the money. There were no reported injuries.

The suspect is described as a man 30 to 40 years old, approximately 5’09”, with a heavy build and a beard. He was wearing a camouflage hooded sweatshirt with a gray hooded sweatshirt underneath, dark pants, white tennis shoes, and white glasses with beads.
