Scene cleared after reported fire near Charleston Harbor Marina

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCBD) — Charleston Consolidated Dispatch has confirmed that Mount Pleasant Police Department and Mount Pleasant Fire Department responded to a reported ‘marine fire’ near the Charleston Harbor Marina on Wednesday morning.

The call came in at 5:19 a.m. The Battalion Chief tells News 2 that a caller said there was smoke coming from a 40 foot boat in the marina. Officials searched the marina for signs of smoke, but the scene was eventually cleared. Crews left the scene around 5:50 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
