Several people facing drug, other charges after neighbors contact authorities about suspicious activity

WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCBD) — Several people are behind bars after concerned citizens contacted authorities about suspicious activity taking place in two Colleton County neighborhoods.

Authorities say Walteroro Police Detectives secured a search warrant for a home on Mincey Avenue as well as one on Lockhart Street. We’re told the search warrant yielded 4 firearms, marijuana, cocaine, and money being seized in addition to four arrests made.

From the Mincey Avenue location, Lamont Ferguson, 33, is charged with Trafficking Cocaine and Simple Possession of Marijuana. Ferguson is currently wanted by the Walterboro Police Department.

From the Lockhart Street location, Wynton Breland, 31, was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Christopher Chapman, 24, was charged with Possession of Marijuana, and James Jamar Johnson, 32, was charged with PWID Marijuana, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of a Firearm with Obliterated Serial Number.

Breland, Chapman, and Johnson were booked into the Colleton County Detention Center.
