Charleston Police, others search for missing 80-year-old woman

JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD) — The Charleston Police Department and other agencies are currently searching for a missing person.

Authorities say Marie Duddy, 80 was last seen on Friday, May 20 at 3:30 p.m. at 1501 Secessionville Road. She was last seen wearing a bright pink top and dark colored pants.

We’re told Duddy suffers from severe dementia and is considered an endangered missing person.

She’s described as a white female, standing at 4’11, weighing 91 pounds. Duddy has gray hair and hazel eyes.

The Charleston Police Department, Charleston Fire Department, Charleston County Rescue, Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, Charleston County EMS, Harleyville Fire Department, James Island Fire Department, Pine Ridge Fire Department, Regional Urban Search and Rescue, South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and, Lowcountry Community Emergency Response Team are all assisting in the search.
