Matthew Brunson, 25, of Bowman

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (News Release) — A Bowman man charged last month with stealing computers from a school is now facing more charges.

Matthew Brunson, 25, is facing two counts of breaking into motor vehicles in connection with a pair of Willie Road break-ins.

At the time of his arrest on these latest charges, the Landsdowne Road man was out on a $5,000 bond after being charged on April 18 with third-degree burglary in connection with the theft of several computers from Brookdale Elementary School.

During a hearing on Monday, bond on the vehicle break-ins was also set at $5,000.

The charges come from a May 1 incident in which two Willie Road residents called law enforcement stating their vehicles appeared to have been entered.

Among the missing items was a TV and a camera case from one vehicle while a pistol and a cell phone were missing from another.

All but one piece of the estimated $1,500 worth of items have been recovered.

Inv. Terry Logan is leading the ongoing investigation.
