CHARLESTON, S.C. (News Release) – The inaugural Southern Fried Chicken Challenge is coming to The Grove at Patriot’s Point on October 22, 2016 as local chefs and restaurants face-off to determine who has the best fried chicken in the Lowcountry. From 2 p.m.-7 p.m., attendees of the Southern Fried Chicken Challenge will spend the afternoon enjoying tasty samples from top chefs and restaurants and have the chance to cast their vote for their favorite southern fried chicken dish.
The application is now open for food vendors and retail, arts and crafts vendors to participate in the Southern Fried Chicken Challenge. If you are interested in being part of the Vendor Village at this event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for details or fill out this form. Vendor Applications will be accepted until Thursday, September 22 or until space is full.
A portion of the proceeds from the Southern Fried Chicken Challenge will benefit local nonprofit organization, The Green Heart Project. The Green Heart Project integrates school farms as outdoor classrooms to help connect students with fresh, locally-grown produce.
