Mt. Pleasant, SC (WCBD) – Lowcountry residents will head out Wednesday May 4th in an effort to thank and pray for members of law enforcement.
The Police Appreciation Prayer Service will get underway in Charleston at 9 a.m. at The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.
During the prayer service attendees will get the chance to show officers how valuable and appreciated they are.
The event is on behalf of the Charleston Illumination Project and Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy.
Members of law enforcement from Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, Mount Pleasant, North Charleston and Charleston Police Departments will be in attendance.
For those who attend the event, parking will be free in the city garage located at the corner of King and Queen Streets.
