Authorities investigate campsite in Berkeley County, two busted for meth

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — Two Berkeley County residents are facing drug charges after a campsite with methamphetamine was discovered.

Laura Lynne Yarbrough, 29, and Christopher Aubrey Martin, 33, both of Bonneau, are charged with possession of methamphetamine and manufacturing methamphetamine.

Authorities say Department of Natural Resources (DNR) law enforcement officers and the United States Forrest Service were patrolling in the area Bethera community of Berkeley County when they located the campsite.

Yarbrough and Martin are being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
