Electrical fire at downtown Charleston restaurant forces street closures

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — Emergency personnel responded to a fire at a downtown Charleston restaurant.

According to the Charleston Police Department, fire crews are battling an electrical fire at Sticky Fingers on Meeting Street at 2:33 p.m. on Friday, April 29.

The Charleston Fire Department says the fire was contained to an HVAC unit on the second floor of the restaurant. We’re told no injuries have been reported.

Southbound Meeting Street at Wentworth Street is closed until further notice.
