ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (News Release) — A Cordova teen charged with breaking into an Orangeburg vehicle is now facing more charges connected to a string of vehicle break-ins.
Roger Martin Salley Jr., 19, is now facing a total three felony charges of breaking into motor vehicles after he was charged with two more counts on Friday.
Salley was arrested on Thursday and charged with an initial count.
Bond was set during a hearing on Friday at $10,000 surety for the latest charges. Salley’s total bond is now $13,000 for the three charges.
Salley’s charges are in connection with a string of vehicle break-ins in the Lee Boulevard area that happened over the past week.
Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said the ongoing investigation will see more arrests in the near future.
“We have the developed names of several more individuals involved and also recovered a considerable amount of what was taken from the vehicle,” he said. “This isn’t over, it’s really just beginning as far as arrests go.”
