MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) — South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley will testify at a hearing on prisoner transfers from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
The Homeland Security Hearing is schedule for this week Thursday, April 28.
President Obama plans to close the prison housing detainees in the War on Terror. Several locations inside US Boarders are reportedly being considered to house them. One location includes the old Navy Brig in Hanahan.
Haley is strongly opposed to bringing any Gitmo prisoners to South Carolina. She’ll testify at 10 a.m.
