4 injured in shooting at bus station near Tennessee State Capitol

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Four people were injured Monday afternoon in a shooting at the MTA’s Music City Central bus station in downtown Nashville.

Authorities responded to the building at Fifth and Charlotte avenues around 3:45 p.m., mere blocks from the Tennessee State Capitol next to Municipal Auditorium.

There people were hurt and reportedly received minor injuries.  An update on their conditions was not immediately known. An 18-year-old is reportedly in critical condition.

Metro-Nashville police now have two suspects in custody.  Their identities have not been released at this time.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol, which oversees security at the Capitol, is assisting in the investigation.

Sgt. Bill Miller with the THP told News 2 the Capitol is not on lockdown. It is operating business as usual at this time.
