Ford F-450, industrial tools stolen from several counties, suspect arrested

stolen truckCOLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — A Colleton County man is behind bars after a truck and industrial tools from several counties were stolen.

Edward Travis Usry, 44, of Cottageville is charged with receiving stolen goods and chop shop violation. He’s being held at the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office awaiting a bond hearing.

On Wednesday, April 20, 2016, the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office recovered a stolen 2004 Ford F-450 truck and numerous stolen industrial tools. The vehicle was stolen out of Charleston County.  The tools were stolen out of Charleston, Dorchester and Orangeburg Counties.

Colleton County Deputies observed the Ford F-450 being driven by Usry on Robertson Blvd in Walterboro.

Sheriff Strickland stated ” Our mission at the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office is to protect life and property of our citizens. Well done to our officers for being vigilant in their job. ”

The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office is working with Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, Summerville PD and Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office to identify the stolen items. The total value of the stolen items is approximately $60,000.00.
