Authorities arrest man in connection to April 6 shooting in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCBD) — The Mount Pleasant Police Department says Darryl Nicholas Evans, II, the man they were searching for in connection to a shooting that took place on Wednesday, April 6, has been arrested.

Evans was wanted for Attempted Murder and for Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime. He was captured on 1000 King St on Monday, April 18 by the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force and other agencies.

During the investigation it was revealed that this shooting was not random as the victim was the intended target.
